While staying in Juan Dolio there are many things to do. First off is laying on the beautiful beach. The weather is typically perfect and the aqua water is warm and soothing. Costa del Sol offers a good size swimming pool for bathers off all ages. In the evening stay on the beach and watch the sun set and enjoy the warm breeze. Waiter service is available at the pool and beach so enjoy your favorite cocktail while getting a tan.
Located on the street in front of Costa del Sol are many open air restaurants. They are very affordable and offer great food. Here are a few to choose from:

If you rent a car the city of Santo Domingo is a 45 minute drive away and offers many tourist attractions. Plan on spending the full day if you go into the city. Also going west from Juan Dolio you’ll find the fishing village and beach town of Guayacanes, then a beach at Playa Caribe, followed by Boca Chica which is about 20 minutes from Juan Dolio. Boca Chica is a bit more up-tempo than Juan Dolio and offers more clubs, shopping and night life.
You may head to La Romana, that is to the east of Juan Dolio. A bit further east is the baseball city of San Pedro de Macoris, home town of Sammy Sosa. Another 40 minutes beyond that is the La Romana/Bayahibe area where Casa de Campo is located.
Juan Dolio generally offers a relaxed vacation for families and couples featuring the sun, the beach, and great food but is also a great starting point for the more adventurous.
